Labor Day 2017

Labor Day weekend is seen as the last ‘hoorah’ before the end of summer…... a long weekend filled with various outdoor activities or one final road trip with our children before school starts. Whatever your Labor Day plans consist of, please ensure your holiday weekend includes risk management, health and wellness measures so it ends on a safe and positive note. Kappa Alpha Psi (KΑΨ) Fraternity, Incorporated was and remains a part of this great tradition in America and in American history.

The Southwestern Province of Kappa Alpha Psi (KΑΨ) Fraternity, Incorporated is delighted to promote the need for our brothers to stay focused, stay alert and stay safe especially during this time.  As your Province Polemarch, my prayer is we bring this summer to a close with zero (0) fatalities or injuries. As you celebrate with family and friends this holiday weekend, keep our brothers in prayer who
are deployed and in harm’s way. Their labor of keeping the watch for the safety and security of our Nation is one we all share.

And as the Southwestern Province endures in its recovery from Hurricane Harvey, we remain steadfast in prayer while we subsequently ‘roll up’ our sleeves to labor in the spirit of altruism by rendering aid to our brothers in the devastated areas of Houston, Texas and some parts of Louisiana.

Enjoy your Labor Day weekend and seeing everyone at the 39th C. Rodger Wilson Leadership Conference in Starkville, MS.

Remaining Prayerful…
Yours in the Bond,
Theron A. Hightower
